If you’re wondering why it’s so pitch black in this picture, it’s because it was taken at 9:45pm, after 3 1/2 hours of negotiating with the good folks over at Tyson’s Corner Ford in Vienna, Virginia. This was the first (and only) brand new car I ever purchased (as you can tell, I was a young pup back in ’06). This baby took me cross-country while listening to the awesome Shaker sound system. I felt like Kerouac . . . minus the whole Beat Generation thing.
